Salsa is a dance in pairs associated with salsa music. The word comes from Spanish salsa meaning sauce, or in this case flavor or style. 
According to the testimony of experts and historians of music, the name salsa was accepted among dancers for decades. The first time the word salsa in a radio broadcast is through the songs that made by Ignacio Piñeiro, dedicated to someone old African man who sold butifarras (a type of sausage) on Central Road in Matanzas. Rhythmic song is titled Échale salsita son. In the chorus and verse song mentioned "Salsaaa! Échale salsita, échale salsita." In early 1950, a commentator and DJ "bigote" Escalona announced dance salsa with the title "the following rhythm contains Salsa". Finally, Spanish-speaking population in the city of New York called Celia Cruz as the "Queen of Salsa". 
Salsa danced to the rhythm of eight beats, yakti with two bars of four beats. Salsa dance patterns typically use three steps in every four beats, one beat be missed. But the beats are passed in general is marked by a surge foot, kick, scolding, and so forth. Salsa music usually involves complicated percussion rhythms and fast, which is about 180 beats per minute. 
Salsa is a dance place, so unlike Foxtrot or Samba, Salsa dancing partner who is not a lot of moving around the dance floor, but dancing in a particular area.

History


Salsa music is a mixture of traditional African and Cuban music and Latin American rhythms that were started from the city of New York between 1940 and 1970. Dance salsa now, is based on salsa music coming from the Cuban Son, but influenced by other Cuban dances such as Mambo, Cha, Guaracha, Changuí, Lukumí, Palo Monte, Rumba, Yambú, Abakuá, Comparsa and sometimes Mozambique. 
Salsa also has an element of swing dance. There are no standard rules on how to dance salsa, salsa dance, although there are certain styles that are recognized in general. (

Cara Membuat Pempek

ADONAN DASAR PEMPEK

Bahan:
500 gram daging ikan tenggiri atau ikan gabus (pilih yang betul-betul segar)
10 sdk makan air es
2 1/2 sdk makan tepung terigu
150 gram tepung kanji
2 sendok teh garam

Cara membuat:

1. Haluskan ikan dengan saringan sampai lembut.
2. Masukkan air es, dan garam. Aduk sampai lengket. Tambahkan tepung terigu dan kanji sambil diuleni hingga tidak menempel lagi ditangan.
3. Bentuk adonan sesuai dengan jenis pempek.

TIPS:

• Makin segar ikan, makin baik hasil pempek yang Anda buat. Usahakan menyimpannya dalam lemari pendingin atau freezer
• Banyak variasi resep pempek yang ada. Yang patut diingat, semakin banyak cairan (air), makin banyak kanji yang harus ditambahkan. Biasanya, hasilnya jadi makin kenyal.
• Bila Anda kesulitan membentuk pempek, lumuri tangan Anda dengan tepung kanji.
• Menggoreng pempek selalu di dalam minyak panas agar pempek tidak merekat di dasar wajan. Baik sekali kalau Anda menggunakan wajan dengan bahan teflon. Menggoreng pempek sebaiknya tidak terlalu lama agar tidak pecah dan meletus
